  1.     The MODERATOR command allows you to control which users are allowed in your
  2. channel.  You can also use the MODERATOR command to change or set the topic for
  3. your channel, and change or set the moderator for the channel.  Unless you are
  4. a sysop, you only have moderator powers in your personal channel, and any other
  5. channel(s) which your sysop allows you to have them in(ask your sysop for
  6. details).

  8.     You use the MODERATOR command with one of several subcommands like this:

  10. MODERATOR <subcommand> [<info>]
  11.  
  12.     <info> is the optional information that is required by some subcommands.
  13.  
  14.     The word MODERATOR can be replaced with the convenient shortcut /M, as in:
  15.  
  16. /M <subcommand> [<info>]
  17.  
  18.     Here is a list of subcommands.  To get help on a specific subcommand, type:

  20. HELP MODERATOR <subcommand>
  21. or
  22. HELP /M <subcommand>

  24.     To find out if you have moderator powers in a certain channel, change to
  25. that channel (with the JOIN command) and issue this command:

  27. MODERATOR

  29.     If you receive a message from TOP, then you do not have moderator powers in
  30. that channel.  If you see this help screen again, then you do in fact have
  31. moderator powers in that channel.

  33.     Subcommands
  34.     -----------
  35.  
  36.     All subcommands operate on the channel that you are currently joined to.
  37.  
  38.     SETTOPIC - Sets or changes the topic for this channel.
  39.     SETMOD   - Sets/changes the moderator.  May remove your powers as well!
  40.     BAN      - Prevents a user from entering your channel.
  41.     UNBAN    - Cancels a ban on a user.
  42.     INVITE   - Invites a user to your personal channel.
  43.     UNINVITE - Cancels an invitation to your personal channel.
  44.  
  45.     NOTE:  Some subcommands may have been disabled by your sysop, or may not
  46. function in the channel that you are currently joined to.
